Fausto, from Santa Ana High, was Rancho Santiago’s third choice to play quarterback Saturday, but after his performance he is No. 1 on the depth chart. Fausto completed nine of 16 passes for 160 yards, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns, as the Dons rallied to beat Palomar, 37-35. He also rushed for a team-high 41 yards in five carries. He caught a pass for 22 yards and returned four punts for a total of 25 yards.
