A few notes on the Red Sox 13-game playoff losing streak:
--The Red Sox led in eight of the games, including the game that started it all, Game 6 of the 1986 World Series against the New York Mets.
--Roger Clemens, one of the game’s finest pitchers, has started five of the losses, including Tuesday’s 5-4, 13-inning defeat at Cleveland. He’s 0-1 in that span.
--The Philadelphia Phillies lost 11 postseason games in a row, but their streak stretched from 1911 to 1975. Clemens and Mike Greenwell have been in uniform for all the Red Sox losses.

Replied closer Jose Mesa, “Tonight, we will.”
