Van Nuys 24, Poly 16--John McPherson rushed for 203 yards in 20 carries and scored three touchdowns as the host Wolves (3-2, 2-0) survived seven fumbles.
McPherson’s biggest play was on defense. With Poly on the Van Nuys 18-yard line in the final minute, he intercepted a pass.
Jelani Ogle completed 19 of 26 passes for 254 yards for Poly (0-5, 0-2).
