SOUTHERN SECTION ROUNDUP : Crescenta Valley Beats Burroughs in a Rush, 28-21

Kenneth Pritchett rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns in 24 carries to lead Crescenta Valley High to a 28-21 victory over Burroughs in a nonleague game at Burroughs on Friday night.
Crescenta Valley (4-1), which trailed, 7-0, at halftime, overcame early mistakes and scored on its first four possessions of the second half to claim a 28-14 lead.
Pritchett scored on runs of 28, 21 and 67 yards.
Glen Adriatico, who led Southern Section receivers with 31 receptions for 456 yards coming into the game, caught eight passes for 144 yards and a touchdown for Burroughs (2-2-1).
Indian running back Robert Barillas, who scored on a 10-yard run in the second quarter, suffered a neck injury in the fourth quarter and was taken from the game by ambulance.
Burroughs pulled to within striking distance on a one-yard touchdown run by Mike Barrett with 2 minutes 51 seconds remaining.
