Drunk Driving Suspected in Fatal Crash

ORANGE — A suspected drunk driver was killed in an accident early Saturday, police said.
The 39-year-old San Ysidro man, whose identity was not released pending the notification of relatives, was driving a 1979 Monte Carlo south on The City Drive at 2:47 a.m. when he made a left turn into the path of a car being driven by 45-year-old Ignacio Roman of Garden Grove, Sgt. Mike Pollok said.
The driver of the Monte Carlo, who police believe was drunk, was killed at the scene. Two young people riding in his car suffered minor injuries. Roman and his three passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals, police said.
The accident remains under investigation.
