A man robbed a Ventura convenience store at gunpoint early Saturday, making off with cigarettes, the clerk’s wallet and money from the till.
Police said the robber entered the Circle K Food Market in the 11000 block of Citrus Drive about 4:10 a.m. Saturday and displayed a handgun.
The robber, described as a white male in his late 20s with blond hair and blue eyes, demanded the clerk’s wallet, a pack of cigarettes and money from the cash register, police said. The man fled on foot after the clerk handed the robber the loot.
Police searched the area for the robber, believed to be about 6 feet and weighing 200 pounds, but were unable to locate him.
