GT Bicycles Reports 3-Cent-a-Share Profit

GT Bicycles Inc., a Santa Ana mountain bike maker, reported a profit of $234,000, or 3 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared to a loss of $202,000, or 3 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales for the quarter increased 19% to $38.3 million from $32.2 million.
Profit for the first nine months of fiscal 1995 totaled $1.26 million, or 18 cents a share, up from $123,000, or 2 cents a share, from a year ago. Sales for nine months increased 17.6% to $120 million from $102 million.
