United Western Medical Centers: The Santa Ana hospital holding company said Daniel L. Frank, chief executive of its hospitals in Santa Ana and Anaheim, has departed. A spokesman attributed Frank’s Thursday departure to a “difference in management philosophy” but wouldn’t elaborate. Douglas Drumwright, United Medical’s chief executive, and Charles Mack, its chief operating officer, assumed Frank’s duties. Neither returned calls and Frank wouldn’t comment.
Frank joined the company as chief executive of the 193-bed Anaheim hospital two years ago and was named chief executive of the 301-bed Santa Ana facility last year.
