School Board Candidates Show Anti-Gay Bias

* Re: “Board Candidates Support Conservative Tenets,” Oct. 29.
How frightening for all of us to learn that school board candidates in the Antelope Valley started a war against gay persons and their families.
Our gay sons and lesbian daughters are the most misunderstood minority--the ones who are still being used as scapegoats under the guise of a Christian conservative agenda.
In every school there are students who are gays and lesbians, or who may have a parent, sibling or other relative who is gay or lesbian.
School is a place for learning to respect diversity.
Shame on all of you for endorsing a hateful agenda.
