In other Southern Section first-round playoff games:
Big Bear 37, Village Christian 8--The Bears (9-2) scored 20 first-half points off four Crusader turnovers and won a Division X game at Kennedy High.
Aaron Funk ran for 30 of Village Christian’s 35 rushing yards and scored its only touchdown on a two-yard run with 5 minutes 31 seconds remaining.
Tony Youssif caught seven passes for 94 yards for Village Christian (7-4).
