Former owner and Daily News Publisher E. Manchester Boddy named these 60 acres at 1418 Descanso Drive in La Canada Flintridge his Rancho del Descanso--or Rest Ranch--when he bought the property in 1937. There are sunlit expanses, shady walkways, gardens, streams and waterfalls.
