SANTA PAULA : Melton Is Named to Mayor’s Post

Santa Paula Councilman John A. F. Melton has been chosen as mayor by the five-member City Council.
Melton, who has been a council member since 1974, has served as mayor five times. The term is one year.
Councilwoman Laura Flores Espinosa was made mayor pro tem in the action Monday night.
Espinosa was elected to the Santa Paula City Council in November, 1994.
