West Hills : Police Emergency Center Plan Advances

The Los Angeles Police Commission approved a plan Tuesday to enter into negotiations to buy a West Hills property for a planned emergency communications center.
The motion, which will now be forwarded to the City Council for consideration, focuses on a 20-acre site on the northwest corner of Roscoe Boulevard and Fallbrook Avenue.
The Police Department wants to build one of two planned emergency communications centers on the site, which is now owned by Coast Federal Savings and is estimated to cost between $4 million and $4.5 million.
