Countywide : Coalition to Promote County to Businesses
- Share via
Ventura County supervisors agreed Tuesday to join with the county’s 10 cities as part of a broader effort to attract new businesses and improve economic development in the region.
The supervisors voted unanimously to approve the formation of the Economic Development Collaborative of Ventura County.
The group’s chief objective will be to use major advertising campaigns to market the county as a good business location, officials said. It will also be used to secure grants for economic development and to provide loans to businesses looking to expand.
The collaborative effort will have a 23-member board of directors with representatives from each of the county’s 10 cities as well as two supervisors and up to 11 business representatives.
