Apparently, Bill Plaschke [Dec. 2] seems to be preoccupied with the AFL rivalries of years past. The Detroit Lions have several authentic rivalries that make his picks pale by comparison. Detroit has been playing Chicago and Green Bay since 1930, twice a year. These are certainly better than Atlanta vs. New Orleans. Next time, look in the record book to find out a little about NFL history.

2. Chicago vs. Detroit.
3. Detroit vs. Green Bay.
4. New York Giants vs. Philadelphia.
