Although he led his basketball team in scoring last season, Alan Gomez of Lincoln missed the Division 3-A playoffs because he was academically ineligible. It’s a different story this season for the 6-foot-4 1/2 senior. Gomez, a center, has improved his grade-point average to 2.85 and is among City Section leaders with averages of 29 points and 15 rebounds a game.
