VENTURA, OJAI VALLEY : Lacey, Monahan File Papers for Board Seat
- Share via
County Supervisor Susan K. Lacey and her lone challenger, Ventura City Councilman James Monahan, filed candidacy papers Thursday for the supervisorial district encompassing Ventura and parts of the Ojai Valley.
Lacey, 54, said she is seeking a fifth term on the Board of Supervisors because she wants to continue the county’s efforts to maintain its financial strength and to protect its agricultural lands.
Monahan, 60, said if elected he would push to return county government to a five-day workweek, ease regulations on businesses and reduce fees on building permits. He said he would also advocate a two-term limit for county supervisors.
