Eltron International Inc., a Simi Valley producer of machinery used in printing plastic labels, badges and cards, has signed a marketing agreement with an Italian company, Card Identification Machines.
The deal gives Card Identification, based in Bologna, worldwide rights to market Eltron’s new line of plastic card printers.
The expected value of the deal was not disclosed, but it was described as a long-term, multimillion-dollar contract.
Donald K. Skinner, Eltron’s chairman and chief executive, said the Italian concern “is well-positioned in the plastic card market and has an extensive customer base. We believe this alliance will give Eltron additional strength in this new market.”
