Jog-a-Thon to Raise Funds for School
Students at Colina Middle School in Thousand Oaks plan a three-day jog-a-thon to raise money for school materials and programs.
The students, who are seeking sponsors for each lap they complete, will run, walk, or skip around the track during physical education classes on Feb. 21-23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
“All proceeds directly benefit the students by providing them with enrichment materials and supplemental programs, which the school district can no longer offer due to heavy budget cuts,” a school spokesman said.
