Construction Lawsuit Results in $15.2-Million Settlement: The owners’ association representing the 416-unit Century Park Place condominium complex in Century City will receive the money to settle part of a construction defect lawsuit. Homeowner attorney Thomas E. Miller said the residents of the luxury units claimed their homes suffered from numerous construction problems, including leaky roofs and windows, cracked stucco and excessive noise. The settlement, reached through arbitration, is believed to be the largest in Los Angeles County over a construction defect lawsuit, Miller said. Lawyers for two key defendants--general contractor Ray Wilson Co. and Dillingham Construction--were not available for comment. A lawsuit against one builder remains unresolved.
