Jose Cruz, who joked that eating chicken before Thursday’s game was responsible for his three-for-four night, ate chicken again before Friday’s game, but he went 0 for 4.
“So much for the chicken theory,” he said.
Seattle Mariner right-hander Chris Bosio will pitch for the JetHawks on Monday after all. Manager Dave Brundage had been told that Bosio’s rehabilitation start was in question, but he heard different on Saturday. Bosio had off-season knee surgery.
On Monday, the JetHawks front office staff will move out of the Lancaster Factory Outlet Center and into their offices in Lancaster Municipal Stadium. The stadium gift shop will be open, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
Tonight’s game:
JetHawks (Bob Worley, 0-0) at Visalia (Gary Goldsmith, 0-0), 6:05.
