Let’s Save All of Bolsa Chica
As board members of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust, several of us were encouraged by the article (“Koll to Offer Bolsa Chica for Sale to State,” March 30).
The land trust was formed in June of 1992, and at that time, we were told that there was no money available to purchase the Bolsa Chica wetlands and, therefore, the Koll Real Estate Group had to build homes on the wetlands. Times have changed, and now Koll is selling the wetlands.
With the wetlands preserved, there are only 214 acres on the mesa left to save. It is our hope that Koll will recognize that it is in its financial interest to join with the land trust in its efforts to save all of Bolsa Chica for generations to come.
