Pixar : No. 1 on Wall Street’s Favorites

In case you’ve been asleep since Halloween, Pixar is the digital animation studio behind the Walt Disney smash film “Toy Story.”
When the Richmond-based firm launched its initial stock offering last November, the timing seemed more than a little fortuitous. After all, the movie just happened to be No. 1 at the box office. Pixar shares opened at $47, more than double their offering price of $22. “Toy Story” went on to gross more than $300 million. The share price has retreated lately to around $23. But revenues should get a boost as “Toy Story” revenues kick in.
