In Century League softball:
Foothill 25, Santa Ana Valley 1--Jamie Clark had four hits and five RBIs for top-ranked Foothill (25-2, 9-0), which clinched the league title.
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 2, Loara 0--Carrie Jeffries pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts for El Dorado (18-7, 8-1), which remained tied for first with Kennedy.
In the Freeway League:
Sonora 4, Troy 0--Georgie Wisen struck out seven, allowing two hits and walking none, for Sonora (15-12-1, 4-5) which is tied for third with Troy (14-10, 4-5).
In the Sea View League:
Irvine 7, El Toro 0--Brett Nakabayashi had three hits and was among seven players who had one RBI each for ninth-ranked Irvine (20-6-1, 6-3), which clinched a playoff berth. Colleen Young (14-3) gave up five hits against 10th-ranked El Toro (18-10, 6-3).
In the Sunset League:
Fountain Valley 6, Esperanza 1--Keary Camunas pitched a three-hitter for No. 8 Fountain Valley (17-8, 8-1). Jackie Killian and Rocky Staniorski each had two hits for the Barons, who clinched a share of the league title.
In the Olympic League:
Whittier Christian 3, Brethren Christian 0--Jodi Alessi hit a two-run triple and scored the final run for Whittier Christian (10-12, 5-4). Joey Miller struck out seven, allowing five hits for Whittier Christian, which is tied for third in league with Ontario Christian.
In the South Coast League:
Dana Hills 2, San Clemente 1 (8)--Karlie Noyes scored in the eighth inning on an illegal pitch to win the game for Dana Hills (2-7). Stephanie Swensen pitched a two-hitter and took the loss for San Clemente (2-7).
In the Freeway League boys’ tennis finals:
Chung wins--Junior Chris Chung of Sunny Hills defeated Francisco Villaroman of Troy, 6-3, 6-2 to win the singles title.
In the Orange League boys’ tennis finals:
Springer wins--Ben Springer beat teammate Scott Koller, 6-3, 6-1, to win the singles title.
In the Sea View League finals:
Dent wins--Corona del Mar’s Taylor Dent defeated teammate Boris Turkich, 6-1, 3-1, to take the singles title. Turkich was forced to retire because of an injury.
In the Sunset League finals:
Hankey wins--Huntington Beach’s Bret Hankey defeated Los Alamitos freshman Cody Jackson, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4 in the tie-breaker), to win the singles title.
