Volunteers / Helping hands : New Center Seeks Variety of Helpers

The city is seeking volunteers for programs at the new Community Center, set to open in July.
Helpers are needed for clerical support, computer training, arts and crafts, games and sports, tutoring, baby-sitting, health education and literacy programs, officials said.
The Community Center is a 51,000-square-foot facility with meeting rooms, an art studio, gymnasium with two full basketball courts, a cafe and fitness area. The center will also offer youth sports programs, parenting classes and counseling.
