WASHINGTON, D.C. : Rep. Greene’s Spouse Plans Plea Bargain

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Joseph P. Waldholtz, the estranged husband of Rep. Enid Greene (R-Utah), is putting the finishing touches on a plea bargain in which he will agree to cooperate in their probe of his wife’s election campaigns, according to a source close to the case. But the source, who asked to remain anonymous, said prosecutors would think long and hard before building a case against Greene with Waldholtz’s word alone. Waldholtz was indicted earlier this month on 27 counts of writing $3 million in worthless checks.
