NEW MEXICO : Reusable Rocket Completes Test

An experimental reusable rocket that may eventually succeed the space shuttle completed its second test flight Friday, soaring nearly 2,000 feet above the desert and then landing upright at the White Sands Missile Range. Last month, the 42-foot-tall unmanned rocket briefly burst into flames as it completed its first test flight, but officials said the damage was superficial and the Delta Clipper Experimental Advanced rocket flight was a success. Program officials called the 63.6-second flight perfect.
