Michael Jordan, unhappy with his own game and bristling at his Bull teammates, let them know about it, especially Toni Kukoc.
“I thought we were playing a really passive game,” said Jordan, “especially Toni. He was very hesitant with his shot, he wasn’t playing with aggression and I pulled him over to the side and I asked him, ‘Are you scared? If you’re scared, then go sit down. If you want to shoot the ball. come out and shoot it. Don’t come out here to pass it.’
“He had a heck of a game in Game 1, he made a difference in our game and all I want him to do is come out there and be aggressive.”
Kukoc, scoreless at the half, scored 11 points in the second game, eight of them in the Bulls’ 10-1 run at the end of the third quarter.
