Trustee Benefits From U.S. Funds

Re your May 25 article, “Orange Trustees Reject Federal Aid as Tainted”:
How ironic that the conservative majority on the Orange Unified School District board considers federal government grants tainted money. One of this majority, Max Reissmueller, is employed by an Orange County company which is a subcontractor to major aerospace firms. Reissmueller cannot be unaware that these aerospace firms receive their contract funds from the federal government. He apparently feels that it’s acceptable to benefit personally from “tainted” federal funds in the form of personal salary but not to use federal funds to benefit his district’s students. Does anyone else smell hypocrisy here?
