Counting Crows have just finished their second album, “Recovering the Satellites,” in Los Angeles with producer Gil Norton. The collection, due in September, is now being mixed by Andy Wallace in New York. . . .

White Zombie is set for an Aug. 13 release of “Supersexy Swingin’ Sounds,” an album of remixed versions of songs from its most recent collection, “Astro Creep: 2000.” Among the mixers reshaping the songs are the Dust Brothers, P.M. Dawn, John Fryer and Nine Inch Nails associate Charlie Clouser.
