A Welcome Change in Council Styles

* I recently attended a meeting of the Port Hueneme City Council. What a difference between that council and our third-rate behemoths in Thousand Oaks.
Port Hueneme’s council meeting was so friendly and open that there was a black, pregnant cat walking along the comfortable chairs. The cat wore a name tag that said, “Shady.”
I guess Thousand Oaks could never have a cat, especially one named Shady--not with the millions that have been shifted between various city accounts.
