Singer Center Students Hold Own Olympics

As the Olympics wound down in Atlanta, nine children with emotional, behavioral or learning problems competed in their own Olympic games Friday at the Julia Ann Singer Center Therapeutic School in Cheviot Hills.
The children, ages 4 to 8, were all awarded gold medals at the 13th annual competition and walked away with what school Principal Judy Shaibi called “a renewed sense of pride and esteem.”
