OUTLOOK
Los Amigos lost its top two skill players from last season’s Division VII semifinal team--running back Greg Fausto and quarterback Jake Sanchez--but the Lobos may not miss either player. Kee, a transfer from Orange Lutheran who didn’t play last season, has Takahashi and the coaching staff excited. “He’s built like Emmitt Smith,” Takahashi said. “I don’t remember a kid that big that can run that fluidly.” Acevez, who started for the junior varsity last year, should be able to ease into the quarterback job with all the talent around him. Nguyen and Taula are two of the league’s better receivers, and Tagatauli is a powerful runner and devastating blocker. If the offense gets bogged down, it can turn to Cleary, who’s being recruited by Division I schools.
