Literacy Program Seeking Volunteers

English tutors are needed for the Oak View Branch Library’s literacy program.
Volunteers participate in a tutor training workshop designed to help Spanish-speaking parents read to their children in English. Volunteers must participate in three six-hour training sessions before being assigned to a parent.
The training sessions are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sept. 21 at the Huntington Beach Central Library, 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach.
