Coach: Jim Brumm (ninth year).
1995: 27-1, 5-0 in the Century League, won the Division I title, beating Villa Park, 8-7, in the final.
Key returners: Robby Arroyo, utility, Jr.; Ryan Carroll, driver, Sr.; Tim Carroll, driver, Jr.; Matt Ellis, two-meter defender, So.; Nick Ellis, goalkeeper, Jr.; Matt Johan, driver, Jr.; Jeremy Katz, driver, Sr.; Jason Korengold, two-meter defender, Sr.; Matt McPherson, utility, Jr.; Jeff Pflueger, driver, Sr.; Nick Pirro, driver, Jr.
Key newcomers: Steve Carter, utility, Sr.; Todd Gray, driver, Jr.; Matt LeDuc, driver, Jr.; Kevin McKee, two-meter man, Sr.; Patrick Logan, driver, Fr.; Justin Nevin, two-meter man, Jr.
Outlook: Foothill, which won its first section water polo title, seems to have the necessary tools to make a strong run at another one. Arroyo and Pflueger, first-team all-section picks, are two of the county’s best and the Knights are even deeper than they were last year. Carter and McKee, transfers from Tustin, add to the strength. “If we have any problem, it will be keeping everybody happy,” Brumm said. “We’re probably going to have a really good JV team.”
