Group Offers Reward for Tips in Burglary

Ventura County Crime Stoppers Inc. is offering an award of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for burglarizing a home on the 1700 block of O’Leary Court in Newbury Park.
The crime occurred between 8 p.m. Sept. 2 and 6:30 a.m. the next day.
The burglars entered through an open garage door and stole a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber pistol, a 35-millimeter camera, a cellular phone, a pager, fillet knives and two fishing reels.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (805) 494-TALK. Callers remain anonymous and are assigned a number as their only identification.
