He’s Not Sorry to See Her Go

As we pull the sheet over another disaster of an Angel season, let us take a moment to thank the architect of this team, the woman committed to sacrificing winning for the sake of the bottom line--Jackie Autry.

Thanks, Jackie, for your misguided belief that your fans care about whether the team makes money. We don’t. We don’t care whether you increase the size of the bankroll you married, but I can’t image that you could have produced a winner and still lost money. And even if your team lost as much money as you claim, you’ll never live long enough to spend what’s left of the Cowboy’s money. I just hope I live long enough to see somebody put a winner on the field in an Angel uniform. It’s now 36 years and counting.
