Warren Buffett, considered one of the great investors of all time, came up with this gem of wisdom recently: “You really ought to invest with the idea that if you were going to take a trip for 20 years, you wouldn’t feel bad leaving the money with the company--with no orders with your broker, no power of attorney or anything--and you knew that when you came back that it would still be a strong company.”
