A daylong entertainment event billed as “the largest gay and lesbian block party in L.A. history” on Oct. 5 will feature eclectic musical acts, stand-up comics and a crafts fair, as well as a giant yard sale and farmers’ market.
The free Gay & Lesbian Block Party, which will cover one square block in Hollywood, is being sponsored by Stadtlanders Pharmacy, a nationwide provider of pharmaceuticals for people with HIV. It is being hosted by the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, which is marking its 25th anniversary with the bash. The Center’s 4-year-old headquarters on Schrader Boulevard will anchor the 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. festival, bordered by Sunset and Selma boulevards.
