County Names Head of Ambulatory Care

Ventura County officials have announced the appointment of Bill Wood to the new position of ambulatory care administrator.

Wood, the local administrator of Foundation Health Medical Group, will assume his new job Monday, officials said. He will oversee more than two dozen county clinics, including eight satellite facilities across the county.

The Ventura County Ambulatory Care system handles more than 250,000 outpatient visits annually at its clinics.

“I’m delighted to work with the county,” Wood said. “The people throughout the clinic system are very experienced and very knowledgeable, and I look forward to working with them.”
