St. Genevieve 47, Bosco Tech 14--Danny Buhler rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns in seven carries and Clifford Rivera added 105 yards and a touchdown in seven carries as the Valiants (2-3, 1-1) defeated Bosco Tech (0-4, 0-2) in a Santa Fe League game at Cantwell Sacred Heart High.
Gary Mamashita completed nine of 15 passes for 180 yards with touchdown passes of 12 and 26 yards, both to tight end Kevin Hanson. Rivera also had three receptions for 59 yards.
A first-quarter 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by P. Ben Vattanonta was the first by a Bosco Tech player in 34 years. Bosco Tech is in its first year of varsity football since 1962.
St. Genevieve scored touchdowns on all five first-half possessions. The Valiants also scored on consecutive possessions in the second half.
