Cal Lutheran Selects 2 Honorary Alumni

Cal Lutheran University’s Alumni Assn. selected Lucille Ballard and Palmer Olson, both of Thousand Oaks, as honorary alumni during recent homecoming festivities.
Ballard has been a staff nurse at the campus Student Health Services since 1969. She is also president of the CLU Guild, a board member of the CLU Women’s League and a 22-year member of the Community Leaders Club. She also has affiliations with several other community organizations.
Olson has been a security locksmith at CLU since 1966. He helped start the Scandinavian Festival and has worked at graduation and registration events. He is also a Fellow and member of the Community Leaders Club. Olson is credited with founding Cub packs, Boy Scout and Explorer troop groups and serves on the property and management committee for Ascension Lutheran Church.
The CLU Alumni Assn. also presented awards to Lynn Gulizia of Oceanside (Career Achievement Award); Eric Jensen of Agoura (Service to Alma Mater Award); and Gloria Falls of Compton (Humanitarian Service Award).
