Story Exaggerated Kemp Heckler’s Role

Re “Kemp Spreads the GOP Gospel in County,” Nov. 1.
I was there at Ventura City Hall, right next to the podium. I am not sure just where your reporters were stationed, but their perspective that the Ventura rally was disrupted is categorically false.
It also occurs to me that your reporters see fit to quote one mysterious heckler’s comments in much greater detail than the comments of Jack Kemp, the supposed subject of this article. In fact, it seems they quote the heckler verbatim and barely mention Jack Kemp’s message of inclusion of opportunity for all Americans as well as any legal aliens.
