A Palmdale man was charged Tuesday with murdering the 84-year-old aunt of a Municipal Court judge.
Ramzi Ahmed Badwi was arrested Saturday after detectives said he had sold one of the dead woman’s rings at a pawnshop. Badwi is accused of killing Grace Ester Perrin outside her San Fernando Valley home on Halloween night.
He also faces a burglary charge and allegations that he killed during a robbery and murdered a witness. Those circumstances could result in the death penalty if he is convicted.
Perrin was the aunt of Van Nuys Judge Jessica Perrin Silvers and the widow of Lee Perrin, a xylophonist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
