Hardaway Will Undergo Surgery

Orlando guard Penny Hardaway’s ailing left knee will require surgery that will sideline him up to six weeks.
The all-star point guard has been slowed since training camp by soreness that also contributed to a problem with his left hamstring.

Washington Bullet center Lorenzo Williams underwent surgery on his left knee and is expected to sit three to four weeks. . . . Allan Slaight, owner of Standard Broadcasting, became majority owner of the Toronto Raptors when John Bitove Jr. failed to come up with the estimated $65 million needed to buy out Slaight.
