Students to Vie for Mock Trial Title

Finalists from four high schools--Thousand Oaks, Westlake, La Reina and Buena--will compete Saturday for the Ventura County Mock Trial title at the County Hall of Justice.
Mock Trial is an annual event in which students play lawyers, witnesses and court staff while arguing a criminal case before real judges and attorneys.
Saturday’s final rounds will begin at 9 a.m. at the Ventura courthouse, 800 S. Victoria Ave. The winner of the county competition will advance to the state finals in Sacramento in April.
