This hillside graced with stately Victorian treasures was developed in 1887 as one of Los Angeles’ first subdivisions. Five minutes north of downtown, the architectural jewel near Echo Park is where Mack Sennett filmed Keystone Kops chase scenes on residential streets and stars such as Gloria Swanson and Mary Pickford made their homes.
