What a striking contrast in humility and ego in football stories (Feb. 1). In one, Jim Kelly tearfully announces his retirement after 11 memorable years with one team because he wants to “retire a Buffalo Bill.” The second story details Bill Parcells’ bitter split with the Patriots five days after a Super Bowl appearance. In this era of team, player and coach free agency, Kelly’s actions speak volumes.
