North Hollywood Continues to Cruise

Tashean Thomas scored 21 points and had 12 steals and North Hollywood clinched at least a share of the Mid-Valley League title with a 72-46 victory over host Monroe (6-12, 4-4 in league play) Friday.
North Hollywood (19-3, 8-0) has won 45 consecutive Valley Pac-8 Conference games.
Grant 54, Van Nuys 51--Nakeisha Perkins scored 15 points and grabbed 22 rebounds for host Grant (15-7, 6-2) in a Mid-Valley League game.
Poly 76, Canoga Park 18--Monie Simmons had 12 points, 20 rebounds and 11 steals in the Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Poly, in which the Parrots (10-8, 7-1) clinched the East Valley League championship. Quiana Jeffries had 23 points and 14 rebounds for Poly.
El Camino Real 43, Taft 31--Cara Blumfield had 19 points and five assists for El Camino Real (12-1, 7-1 in league play) in a West Valley League game at Taft (7-8, 3-5).
Birmingham 40, Granada Hills 31--Tanya Silva had 13 points and six assists and Juana Gatson had 11 points and five steals to lead Birmingham (11-3, 5-3) in a North Valley League game at Birmingham.
Verdugo Hills 43, Hollywood 34--Daisy Lulham scored 13 points for host Verdugo Hills (3-12, 3-9) in a Northern Conference game.
Moorpark 97, Calabasas 46--Tracey Milburn scored 27 points and Damaris Hinojasa added 26 in a Frontier League game at Moorpark (18-3, 7-1).
Calabasas (9-10, 2-6) got 19 points from Alyssa Love and Sara Hall had 10 points and six steals.
Nordhoff 60, Santa Clara 39--Christen Roper had 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Rangers (19-3, 8-0) in a Frontier League game at Nordhoff.
Erin Barker scored 18 points for Nordhoff, ranked No. 10 in the region by The Times.
Hart 53, Valencia 25--Candace Boller scored 12 points for the Indians (18-5, 8-0) in a Foothill Conference game at Hart.
L.A. Baptist 55, Maranatha 40--Deanna Bergeson’s 30 points and 24 rebounds powered the Knights (9-11, 4-4) in an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist.
Village Christian 60, Marshall 23--Jackie Aranda had 12 points and 13 rebounds and the Crusaders (14-9, 8-0), who posted their 42nd consecutive Alpha League victory in the game at Village Christian.
Jennie Greslie scored 18 points for the four-time defending league champions.
Faith Baptist 52, Whitney 29--Elene Savoie had 16 points and 19 rebounds for the Contenders (14-8, 3-3), who clinched a playoff berth in the Delphic League.
Crescenta Valley 63, Arcadia 32--Michelle Greco had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Falcons (22-2, 8-0), who clinched the Pacific League title.
