The second annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will be held April 19 and 20 at UCLA. Last year’s festival drew about 75,000 people.
James Redfield, author of the bestsellers “The Celestine Prophecy” and “The Tenth Insight,” has joined the list of about 200 authors, including Laura Schlessinger, Itabari Njeri, Bruce Wagner, Garry Wills and T. Jefferson Parker, for panel discussions and other events, which are free to the public. There will also be a wide variety of children’s programming as well as publishers’ and booksellers’ booths and book signings. Times are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 19 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 20. For general information, please call (800) LA TIMES, Ext. 7BOOK.
